Expanding and financing social health protection programs is critical to accelerating progress towards universal health coverage. In Cambodia, Colombia, and Vietnam, LHSS teams are supporting government partners to integrate specific population groups (migrants, people living with HIV) or health services (HIV, TB) into national social protection programs. These efforts require a health system strengthening lens, and LHSS teams have collaborated with national governments to strengthen demand creation, enact policy change, enhance governance, mobilize domestic resources, and update health information systems to ensure comprehensive and effective expansion of social protection programs. In this webinar, panelists will share best practices and lessons learned from this work and describe how these efforts have helped to improve equitable access to care for vulnerable population groups including migrants, people living with HIV, and people living with TB.
