Moving Towards Sustainability in Namibia with Social Contracting

The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) in Namibia facilitated a workshop to finalize documentation and proposed contracting arrangements for the social contracting pilot, scheduled for implementation between October 2024 and March 2025.

The session aimed to prioritize and clearly define the services to be included in the pilot, determine the contracting modality, and finalize bid document preparation. With LHSS support, MoHSS is committed to piloting social contracting in the current financial year, leveraging the strengths of civil society organizations. This initiative will enable MoHSS to collaborate with civil society organizations to expand access to health services at the community level while ensuring the sustainability of critical programs providing essential health and HIV services to key and vulnerable populations.
