Strengthening Laboratory Capacity to Improve the Availability and Accuracy of COVID-19 Diagnosis in Peru

Strengthening the capability of the health system to detect cases in a timely manner and to reduce disease transmission is essential for preparing and responding to health emergencies. Proper specimen collection and transport play an important role in the accurate and timely identification of newly emerging infectious diseases. This report provides recommendations for improving the specimen collection and transport system in Peru.
